Glebo

Glebo (Gedebo, Grebo, fälschlich Krebo), Negerstamm an der Nordwestküste von Afrika, beiderseits des Kap Palmas, von den Engländern Fisch-Kru (nach ihrer Stadt Fishtown) genannt, die mit ihren Nachbarn, den Kru und Bassa, eine nur dialektisch verschiedene Sprache sprechen. Diese drei Stämme, deren Kopfzahl auf 40,000 geschätzt wird, sind gewandte Schiffer und Händler, die man an der ganzen Küste Westafrikas bis zum Kongo trifft. Vgl.
