Ashingdon (spr. äschingd'n, früher Assandun), Ort in deren gl. Grafschaft Essex, berühmt durch die Schlacht von 1016, in der König Edmund Eisenseite von Knut d. Gr. von Dänemark durch Verrat besiegt wurde.
