Reviczky

Reviczky (spr. rewitzki), Julius, ungar. Lyriker, geb. 9. April 1855 zu Vitkócz im Neutraer Komitat, gest. 11. Juli 1889 in Budapest, rang sich allmählich zu einem der bedeutendsten Vertreter des Pessimismus empor. Er war auch des deutschen Verses Meister und machte sich um die Einführung Heinrich v. Kleists in Ungarn verdient. Eine Unzahl zerstreuter Kritiken und ästhetischer Aufsätze sowie zwei Bändchen Gedichte machen den Nachlaß des unglücklichen jungen Poeten aus. Seine »Gesamten Gedichte« wurden von Freunden 1895 in Budapest herausgegeben. Eine Auswahl seiner Gedichte erschien deutsch von Naschér (Budapest u. Leipz. 1896).
