Mossi (Moschi), großes westsudân. Reich, innerhalb des Nigerbogens, von hoher Bedeutung, besonders im 14. und 15. Jahrh., mit der Hauptstadt Wagaduga (großer Markt). M. gehört seit 1896 zu Frankreich (s. Sudân).
