Monte Viso

Monte Viso (Monviso), 3843 m hoher Berg der Kottischen Alpen, in der ital. Provinz Cuneo, nahe der französischen Grenze, wird von Crissolo im obersten Potale über das Rifugio Quintino Sella (3000 m) erstiegen und bietet eine umfassende Aussicht. Nördlich führt ein Saumpfad aus dem Potal nach Mont-Dauphin im Tal der Durance über das Gebirge, der in 2971 m Höhe einen 72 m langen, im 15. Jahrh. erbauten Tunnel (La Traversette) passiert.
