Hippos

Hippos, Stadt der antiken Dekapolis (s. d.) in Peräa (Palästina), über dem Ostufer des Sees Genezareth an der Stelle der ausgedehnten Ruinen Susie gelegen, wurde schon 1875 von Clermont-Ganneau dort vermutet, später von Schumacher aufgefunden.
