Gerōna (spr. che-), span. Provinz, nordöstlicher Teil von Katalonien, grenzt nördlich an Frankreich, östlich an das Mittelländische Meer, südlich an die Provinz Barcelona, westlich an Lerida und hat ein Areal von 5865 qkm (106,5 QM.) mit (1900) 299,074 Einw. (51 auf 1 qkm). Die Provinz umfaßt sechs Gerichtsbezirke.
