Emodīn

Emodīn C15H10O5, ein Trioxyanthrachinon, findet sich in sehr geringer Menge in der Rhabarberwurzel, in Sennesblättern und Aloearten, entsteht bei Spaltung von Frangulin und Polygonin, bildet orangerote Nadeln, schmilzt bei 203° und löst sich in verdünntem Ammoniak mit kirschroter Farbe.
