Staat Illinois, am Sangamon River, östlich von Springfield, in fruchtbarer Gegend, Bahnknotenpunkt, mit Mehl- und Ackergerätfabrikation, Produktenhandel und (1900) 20,754 Einw. – 2) Hauptstadt der Grafschaft Adams in Indiana, am St. Marysfluß, Bahnknotenpunkt, mit Fabriken und (1900) 4142 Einw. – 3) Stadt in der Grafschaft Morgan in Alabama, am Tennessee, Bahnknotenpunkt, mit Säge- und Hobelwerken und andern Fabriken und (1900) 3114 Einw.
