Cossonay (spr. -nä), Bezirkshauptstadt im schweizer. Kanton Waadt, an der Venoge, Knotenpunkt der Eisenbahnen Lausanne-Biel-Basel und C.-Pontarlier, hat eine alte reformierte Kirche und (1900) 1069 Einw. In der Nähe Mühlen und eine Metallkabelfabrik.
