Brescia (spr. bréscha), ital. Provinz in der Lombardei, grenzt nordwestlich an die Provinz Sondrio, westlich an Bergamo, südwestlich an Cremona, südöstlich an Mantua, östlich an Verona (davon teilweise durch den Gardasee geschieden), nordöstlich an Tirol, hat 4798 qkm (87,1 QM.) mit (1901) 538,427 Einw. (112 auf 1 qkm) und zerfällt in die Kreise Breno, Chiari, Salò, Verolanuova und B.
