Acetāl

Acetāl (Äthylidendiäthyläther) C6H14O2 oder CH3.CH(OC2H5)2 findet sich in durch Kohle filtriertem Rohspiritus, im Vorlauf der Spiritusrektifikation und in alten Weinen; es entsteht bei Oxydation von Alkohol mit Braunstein und verdünnter Schwefelsäure, beim Erhitzen von Aldehyd mit Alkohol etc. Farblose Flüssigkeit, riecht angenehm, schmeckt bitter, erfrischend, spez. Gewicht 0,831 bei 22°, siedet bei 104°, löslich in 18 Teilen Wasser, mischbar mit Alkohol, gibt mit Essigsäure Äthylacetat und Aldehyd, mit Chromsäure Essigsäure. A. wirkt schlafbringend und eignet sich zur Nachahmung des alten Weinen eigentümlichen Geruchs (Jufteln).
