Bisson (spr. -ßóng), Alexandre, franz. Lustspieldichter, geb. 9. April 1848 in Briouze (Orne), wurde 1869 als Konzipist im Ministerium des Innern angestellt, konnte aber der Kanzleiarbeit keinen Geschmack abgewinnen und folgte endlich ganz seinem Hang zur Bühne. Die Ausführung seines Erstlingsversuchs: »Quatre coups de canif« (Vaudeville in einem Akt), fiel ins Jahr 1873. Sein erster größerer Erfolg war »115, rue Pigalle« (1882). »Le député de Bombignac« (1884), der im Théâtre-Français gespielt wurde, tat noch mehr für das Bekanntwerden Bissons. Weltberühmt wurden »Les surprises du divorce« (mit Antony Mars, 1888; deutsch als »Madame Bonnivard« bekannt). Mit »Feu Toupinel« (1890), »La famille Pont-Biquet« (1892), »Le contrôleur des wagons-lits« (1898), »Château historique!« (mit Berr de Turique, 1900) und »Le bon moyen« (1901) feierte B. neue Triumphe.
