Ureïde

Ureïde, den Säureamiden (s. Amide) entsprechende Verbindungen von organischen Säuren mit Harnstoff NH2.CO.NH2, wie z. B. Acetylharnstoff NH2.CO.NH.CO.CH3, finden sich zum Teil im tierischen Körper, können aus Harnsäure, aber auch synthetisch dargestellt werden, besitzen säureähnliche Eigenschaften und werden durch Alkalien in Harnstoff und die betreffende Säure gespalten. Hierher gehören Parabansäure (Oxalylharnstoff), Barbitursäure (Malonylharnstoff), Alloxan (Mesoxalylharnstoff), Hydantoin (Glykolylharnstoff) etc. Vgl. Diureïde.
