Ternīna

Ternīna, Milka, Sängerin, geb. 19. Dez. 1864 zu Bezisce in Kroatien, seit 1880 Schülerin Gänsbachers und des Konservatoriums in Wien, trat zuerst im Agramer Landestheater auf, ging 1883 nach Leipzig, 1884 nach Graz, 1886 nach Bremen und ist seit 1890 königliche Hofopern- und Kammersängerin in München. Früher in Rollen wie Gretchen, Aida und Afrikanerin glänzend, wurde sie später eine hervorragende Wagnersängerin und ist als solche auch bei den Festspielen in Bayreuth und in New York aufgetreten.
