Slough (spr. ßlau), Marktstadt in Buckinghamshire (England), 3 km nördlich von Windsor, mit dem Leopoldinstitut (1887, zur Erinnerung an den Herzog von Albany), Ziegelbrennereien, Blumenzucht und (1901) 11,453 Einw. Dabei Upton Park, eine neuentstandene Villenstadt, und das Haus, in dem Fr. W. Herschel 40 Jahre lang wohnte.
