Robsart

Robsart, Amy, geb. um 1532, war seit 1550 erste Gemahlin des Grafen Robert Dudley von Leicester (s. d.), des Günstlings der Königin Elisabeth von England, auf dessen Anstiften sie 8. Sept. 1560 ermordet worden sein soll. Ihr Schicksal wurde mehrfach dichterisch behandelt, unter anderm von W. Scott in dem Roman »Kenilworth«, dramatisch von V. Hugo und R. v. Gottschall. Vgl.
