Ratisbonne, Marie Theodore, geb. 28. Dez. 1802 in Straßburg. gest. 10. Jan. 1884 in Paris, trat, von jüdischen Eltern geboren, 1827 zum Katholizismus über, wurde 1840 Priester und gründete 1843 mit seinem gleichfalls übergetretenen Bruder Marie Alphonse (geb. 1. Mai 1814, gest. 6. Mai 1884 in Jerusalem) die »Kongregation der Töchter Unserer Lieben Frau von Sion« zum Zweck der Judenbekehrung und Erziehung von Judenkindern (Kloster in Jerusalem). Er schrieb: »Histoire de saint Bernard et de son siècle« (Par. 1841; 11. Aufl. 1903, 2 Bde.). Vgl. »Le Père M. Th. R., fondateur de la Société des Prêtres, etc.« (Par. 1903, 2 Bde.).
