Ramu, großer Fluß Deutsch-Neuguineas, der anscheinend im SO. des Bismarckgebirges entspringt, ist 500 km lang, mindestens 2, oft 3–5 m tief, bildet eine hochwichtige Fahrstraße ins Innere und mündet, 400 m breit, unter dem Namen Ottilienfluß nahe 4° südl. Br. in die Brecherbai.
