Authentĭca

Authentĭca (sc. lex), ein Originalgesetz, zum Unterschied von nachherigen Erweiterungen, Umarbeitungen, Übersetzungen etc. A. collatio (Authenticum, Liber authenticarum) ist die wortgetreue lateinische Übersetzung der Justinianischen Novellen (s. Corpus juris), die im Mittelalter für offiziell galt, im Gegensatze zu der mehr den Sinn wiedergebenden des Konstantinopolitaners Iulian. A. charta (Authenticum, sc. instrumentum) ist eine gehörig ausgefertigte, mit allen Förmlichkeiten vollzogene, daher glaubwürdige und gültige Urkunde, entgegengesetzt dem Konzept oder der Abschrift eines Dokuments; vgl. Authentisieren.
