Maesteg (spr. mǟstegg), Stadt in Glamorganshire (Südwales), im kohlenreichen Nebental des Ogmore, 13 km nordwestlich von Bridgend, hat mehrere moderne Kirchen, ein Rathaus im Renaissancestil (von 1880), Eisenhütten und (1901) 15,012 Einw.
