Lespès (spr. lespǟß'), Léo, unter dem Namen Timothée Trimm bekannter franz. Schriftsteller, geb. 18. Juni 1815 in Bouchain, gest. 21. April 1875 in Paris, schrieb eine Reihe phantastischer Romane und gründete zuletzt verschiedene Blätter, darunter 1862 das »Petit Journal«, das bald in einer Auflage von mehr als 200,000 Exemplaren gedruckt wurde. Seit 1869 schrieb er Tageschroniken für den »Petit Moniteur«. Von seinen Schriften nennen wir: »Histoires roses et noires« (1842); »Les mystères du Giand-Opéra« (1843); »Histoires à faire peur« (1846, 2 Bde.); »Spectacles vns de ma fenêtre« (1866); »Physiologie du vin de Champagne« (1866) und »Promenades dans Paris« (1867).
