Keloïd

Keloïd (griech., auch Cheloïd), eigentümliche brandnarbenähnliche, bei Druck schmerzhafte Bindegewebswucherung in der Haut, die selbst nach operativer Entfernung mit Hartnäckigkeit, und zwar meist größer noch als vorher, wiederzukehren pflegt. Virchow rechnet das K. zu den bösartigen Geschwülsten. Anatomisch stellt es sich als ein zellenarmes Fibrom dar. Es zeigt sich als derber, weißrötlicher Wulst, von dem seitliche Ausläufer ausgehen. Als falsches oder Narbenkeloïd bezeichnet man ähnliche, nach Verletzungen auftretende Narbenbildungen.
