Andreas Capellānus

Andreas Capellānus, lat. Schriftsteller, wird als ein »Neffe des Papstes« bezeichnet und stellte um 1200 in seinem »Tractatus de amore« die Aussprüche berühmter Fürstinnen, wie der Gräfin Ermengard von Narbonne (gest. 1194), der Gräfin Margarete von Flandern (gest. 1194), der Gräfin Marie von Champagne (gest. 1198), über Minnefragen zusammen. Weil das Werk einem Gualterius gewidmet war, wird es oft unter diesem Namen zitiert. Die Annahme von Minnehöfen (s. d.) beruht wesentlich auf diesem Werke, das auch ins Französische, Deutsche und Italienische übersetzt wurde. Eine Ausgabe veranstaltete Trojel (Kopenh. 1892). Vgl.
