Faversham (spr. fäwwerschäm), Stadt (municipal borough) in der engl. Grafschaft Kent, 14 km westnordwestlich von Canterbury, an einem Arm der Swale, mit Hafen für Schiffe von 150 Ton., hat eine stattliche gotische Pfarrkirche (von Scott restauriert), geringe Reste einer 1147 gegründeten Benediktinerabtei, ein Rathaus, Pulvermühlen, Zementwerke, Ziegeleien und (1901) 11,290 Einw., die Küstenhandel und Austernfang betreiben. Die Stadt besitzt (1901) 228 Seeschiffe von 18,293 Ton. Gehalt. 1901 liefen 606 Schiffe von 72,629 T. ein.
