Diamidophenole

Diamidophenole C6H3(NH2)2OH entstehen bei Reduktion von Dinitrophenolen mit Zinn- und Salzsäure, sind im freien Zustand nicht bekannt und bilden kristallisierbare, in Wasser leicht lösliche Salze, deren Lösungen durch Oxydationsmittel tiefrot gefärbt werden. Salzsaures Diamidophenol (Amidol) wird in der Photographie als Entwickler für Bromsilberpositive und-Negative benutzt.
