Darĭel (Darjal, Darial, Porta Caucasi oder Cumana des Strabon, Porta sarmatica des Ptolemäos, Darioly der Tataren), Paß im russisch-kaukas. Gouv. Tiflis, am Ostfuß des Kasbek, durch den der oberste Lauf des Terek und die grusinische oder georgische Heerstraße (unter Alexander I. erbaut) von Tiflis über Wladikawkas durch die Kabarda nach Mosdok führt. Das im D. von dem iberischen König Mirwan 140 v. Chr. erbaute Fort wurde beim Bau der Straße gesprengt und dafür ein befestigter Posten an der Terekbrücke errichtet.
