Coenobĭum

Coenobĭum (lat.), Ort zum gemeinschaftlichen Leben, daher soviel wie Kloster; in der Botanik eine zu einer Gemeinschaft vereinigte Zellfamilie gleicher Abstammung bei vielen niedern Algen, z. B. Volvox (s.d.).
