Chromatĭus

Chromatĭus, der Heilige, seitll 87 (388) Bischof von Aquileja, gest. 406 oder wenig später, vielverehrter Zeitgenosse des Ambrosius, Hieronymus, Rufinus, die ihm mancherlei Anregung zu wissenschaftlicher Betätigung verdanken. Er verfaßte 18 Homilien über Texte des Matthäusevangeliums (vgl. Migne, Patrologia latina, 20. Bd.).
