Chiasmus

Chiasmus (griech.), die kreuzweise Stellung nach der Form des griechischen Buchstaben x (X); in der Grammatik der Wechsel in der Stellung des Subjekts und Prädikats, des Genitivs und seines regierenden Kasus etc., so daß im ersten Satz jenes, im andern letzteres zuerst steht, z. B.: »das Gold der Sonne und des Mondes Silber«.
