Car Trusts (engl., spr. kār trößts), in den Vereinigten Staaten von Nordamerika Gesellschaften, welche die Beschaffung von Betriebsmitteln (inbes. Eisenbahnwagen [cars]daher der Name) für neu gegründete Eisenbahnunternehmungen übernehmen. Sie bezahlen diese bis zu einer bestimmten Summe in bar, den Rest in monatlichen Raten, meist in der Form von hoch verzinslichen Schuldscheinen, die eine gesuchte Kapitalanlage bilden.
