Thorax

Thorax (griech.), Brustpanzer (s. Rüstung); in der Anatomie die Brust der Wirbeltiere und Gliederfüßer. Bei den letztern ist der T. zuweilen mit dem Kopf zur Kopfbrust (Cephalothorax) verwachsen.
