Benicia (spr. bĭnischĭa), Stadt im nordamerikan. Staat Kalifornien, Grafschaft Solano, an der Carquinezenge der Bucht von San Francisco, früher Staatshauptstadt, mit Unionsarsenal, bischöflichem Kolleg, großen Werkstätten der Pacific Mail-Dampfschiffahrtsgesellschaft und (1900) 2751 Einw.
