San Sevēro, Kreishauptstadt in der ital. Provinz Foggia, an der Eisenbahn Ancona-Brindisi, Sitz eines Bischofs, hat eine Pfarrkirche des 13. Jahrh., alte Mauern, Gymnasium, Technische Schule, Seminar, Viehhandel, Ölgewinnung und (1901) 28,871 Einw. S. wurde 1799 durch die Franzosen zerstört.
