Pothos L. (Prangwurz), Gattung der Arazeen, Sträucher, deren untere Zweige wurzeln, während die obern frei sind, mit häufig breitgeflügelten Blattstielen, lineal-lanzettlichen bis eiförmigen Blättern, eiförmigen oder länglichen Blütenscheiden und kugeligen oder eiförmigen Kolben. Über 30 Arten, namentlich im malaiischen Gebiet, wenige im tropischen Himalaja. P. scandens L. (s. Tafel »Arazeen«, Fig. 9) ist eine in den feuchten Wäldern Ostindiens und des malaiischen Gebietes sehr häufige Kletterpflanze. Manche Arten werden in Warmhäusern kultiviert.
