Provinz Rovigo, am linken Ufer des Po, von dem eine Abzweigung zum Canale Bianco führt, an der Eisenbahn Rovigo-Ferrara, hat eine Kirche mit hohem Turm, Weinbau, Getreide- und Viehhandel und (1901) 2254 (als Gemeinde 3488) Einw. P. hat im Juli 1892 durch einen Zyklon sehr gelitten.
