Poikĭle

Poikĭle (griech., lat. Poecĭle, sc. stoa, »bunte Säulenhalle«), eine auf Säulen ruhende und mit Gemälden geschmückte Halle, die altgriechischen Städten zur Zierde diente. Die berühmteste war die Stoa P. in Athen (s. d., S. 25).
